Dr. Cirillo has over 25 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He completed his Degree in Medicine in 1989 at the University of Palermo, Italy, and obtained his specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1993 at the same university. He is accredited by the General Medical Council Specialist Register, and is also a member of the Royal College of Obstetric Gynaecology, in the UK. He is also registered with the Medical Councils in St. Lucia, Kuwait, and St. Maarten.

Dr. Cirillo has a wide range of experience in the management of the pregnant patients including Obstetrical ultrasound, high risk pregnancy management, operative, vaginal deliveries, and caesarean section. Dr. Cirillo worked at the minimal invasive surgical centre at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He is very skilled in minimal invasive surgeries including: diagnostic and operative laparoscopic surgeries; management of endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and ectopic pregnancies; laparoscopic myomectomy and hysterectomies, and; laparoscopic surgeries for fertility management. He also performs hysteroscopy surgeries. Furthermore, Dr. Cirillo performs office procedures such as saline infusion sonogram, office hysterosalpinography, and gynaecological ultrasound. He also performs all routine open gynaecological procedures.

Apart from practicing as a physician, Dr. Cirillo was also appointed as Hospital CEO. From March 2009 to January 2013, he managed Cefalu General Hospital, a 250-bed capacity general hospital in Italy. During this tenure, he opened a humanitarian 50-bed maternity hospital in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in Africa. During this time, he also visited several hospitals in all provinces of the country to monitor their health system situation.
