Dr. Chambers completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of the West Indies in 1997 then went on to pursue postgraduate training in rheumatology in the United Kingdom. She worked as a registrar at several reputable institutions in England, including University College London Hospitals, the Royal Free Hospital, and the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital. In 2008, she was awarded a Master’s Degree from the University College London for original research in systemic lupus erythematosus. Several papers arising from this research have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to joining Trincay Medical Services, she was appointed to the role of Consultant Rheumatologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in Kent, England. There she was actively involved in teaching, research, and clinical activities including leading the biologics service for rheumatoid arthritis.
She is competent in the management of a wide variety of rheumatological diseases but has a special interest in the management of systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis using evidence-based treatment modalities.
She believes in providing a patient-centered approach to the management of rheumatic complaints and is interested in the wellness of the whole person. As such, she also utilizes integrative medicine techniques in order to achieve the best outcome for her patients.
